Terms of Service

Version 1.1 · last updated October 14, 2026 · provider: Oakline Home Services LLC dba Oakline Heating & Air (Ohio Registration No. 45-1278390)

1. Definitions and interpretation

1.1 In these Terms: “Provider” means Oakline Home Services LLC dba Oakline Heating & Air, an Ohio limited liability company registered with the Ohio Secretary of State under registration number 45-1278390, with its principal place of business at 2416 Sawmill Road, Suite D, Columbus, OH 43235, United States; “Customer” means the person or entity scheduling or receiving services; “Services” means heating system tune-ups, diagnostics, repairs, safety inspections, maintenance plans, installation consulting and emergency heating services described on this website; “Equipment” means the furnace, boiler, water heater or other equipment on which the Services are performed; “Estimate” means the firm written price provided after diagnosis and before any repair work begins; “Warranty Period” means one year from completion of a repair.

1.2 Headings are for convenience only. “Including” means “including without limitation.” If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect and the unenforceable provision is replaced by the closest lawful equivalent. Where the Customer is a consumer, rights under applicable Ohio and federal consumer-protection law prevail over any inconsistent term to the extent the law requires.

2. Formation of the agreement

2.1 An agreement for a service visit is formed when we confirm your appointment by phone, text or email. The agreement for any repair is formed separately, when you accept our Estimate. 2.2 Appointments are accepted in good faith based on the information you provide; if access, parking, or the Equipment description materially differs from what was booked, we may need to reschedule or adjust charges, always notifying you first. 2.3 These Terms incorporate our Privacy and Cookie policies; these Terms govern commercial matters, and the Privacy Policy governs data matters.

3. The free seasonal tune-up

3.1 The seasonal tune-up program provides an in-home visit, the seasonal check described on the service page, a written condition report and six months of phone and email support, at no charge. 3.2 The free tune-up carries no purchase obligation: declining every recommendation is a normal and expected outcome. If the technician identifies repair or replacement work, you receive a firm written price and decide without pressure. 3.3 The program is available once per household per heating season, within our published service area, and does not cover systems that are known to be non-functional — those are handled as diagnostic visits under section 4. 3.4 We may decline or reschedule free tune-up bookings in weather emergencies, when emergency no-heat calls must take priority; in that case we offer the next available slot.

4. Diagnostics and estimates

4.1 Diagnostic visits carry a fixed fee of $89 for furnaces and boilers and $79 for standalone safety inspections, within our standard service area. The fee is credited toward the repair price if you accept the Estimate. 4.2 After diagnosis we provide a firm written Estimate. No repair work begins until you approve it. If you decline, you pay only the diagnostic fee and the visit ends. 4.3 An Estimate reflects the faults found at diagnosis. If opening the Equipment reveals additional conditions — concealed corrosion, prior improper repairs — we stop, inform you, and issue a revised Estimate for approval. 4.4 Estimates are valid for 30 days.

5. Repair work and parts

5.1 Repairs are performed in a workmanlike manner using new parts from the original manufacturer or quality-equivalent alternatives; where a quality-equivalent part is proposed, we tell you before installation. 5.2 Installed parts carry a 12-month manufacturer warranty in addition to the repair warranty. 5.3 Some repairs cannot be completed on a first visit because parts must be ordered; the follow-up installation carries no additional diagnostic or labor charge beyond the quoted figure. 5.4 If, after Estimate approval, we determine the Equipment is beyond economical repair before work is complete, we stop, explain, and charge nothing beyond the diagnostic fee except for parts already installed that cannot reasonably be returned.

6. The one-year warranty

6.1 Every completed repair is warranted for one year on parts and labor. If the same defect recurs within the Warranty Period, we return and correct it at no charge. 6.2 The warranty covers the repaired defect and installed parts. It excludes new, unrelated defects; damage arising after the repair (including misuse, neglected maintenance, power surges, or water damage unrelated to our work); and conditions we documented and you chose not to address. 6.3 To make a warranty claim, contact us with your invoice number. Warranty visits are prioritized in the schedule.

7. Customer responsibilities

7.1 You represent that you own the Equipment or are authorized to schedule work on it, and that fault descriptions you provide are accurate to your knowledge. 7.2 You provide safe access, a working electrical outlet, and—where required for testing—gas, water and drainage, and ensure an adult (18+) is present for the visit. 7.3 You are responsible for clearing the work area and securing pets; technicians will not move stored items or furniture. 7.4 For gas safety: if you smell gas or a CO alarm sounds, leave the premises and call 911 first — always — and only then contact us.

8. Charges and payment

8.1 Payment is due on completion by card, check or electronic payment, unless otherwise agreed in writing. We take no payment in advance of repairs. 8.2 Applicable Ohio sales tax is included as itemized on invoices. 8.3 Late payment on commercial accounts may accrue interest at the lesser of 1.5% per month or the maximum lawful rate, and Services may be suspended until the account is current. 8.4 Diagnostic fees are not charged for visits we cancel; for visits where we arrive as scheduled but cannot obtain access, the standard diagnostic fee may apply — we will always attempt to reach you before treating a booking that way.

9. Cancellations and rescheduling

9.1 You may cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 3 hours before the start of the scheduled window. Cancellations inside 3 hours, or non-availability at arrival, may incur the diagnostic fee, at our discretion where genuine emergencies are involved. 9.2 If you cancel a repair after approving an Estimate but before parts are ordered, no charge beyond the diagnostic applies. If parts were ordered specifically for your repair, we may recover their non-returnable cost, with the supplier’s paperwork available to you. 9.3 We may cancel or reschedule for technician unavailability, vehicle failure, or weather events, offering the next available slot with priority.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

10.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for injury or damage caused by our negligence, for willful misconduct, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. 10.2 Subject to that, our aggregate liability arising from any agreement is limited to the amounts paid under that agreement, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. 10.3 We are responsible for property damage we negligently cause during a visit and maintain general liability insurance for such claims; pre-existing conditions or damage resulting from the Equipment’s own failure are not ours unless caused by our negligence. 10.4 Except as stated in section 6, we make no express or implied warranty beyond those provided by law, and disclaim implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted by Ohio law.

11. Privacy

11.1 We process personal information as described in our Privacy Policy, consistent with applicable U.S. federal and state privacy laws, including state consumer-privacy statutes where applicable. 11.2 Privacy requests: email [email protected] with “privacy request” in the subject; we respond within the timeframe applicable law requires.

12. Complaints and contact

12.1 Complaints go first to [email protected] or by phone; we acknowledge within 2 business days and aim to resolve within 10. Unresolved consumer disputes may be directed to the Ohio Attorney General’s consumer protection mediation program or to small-claims court. 12.2 Provider contact: Oakline Home Services LLC, 2416 Sawmill Road, Suite D, Columbus, OH 43235, United States, +1 (614) 555-0138, [email protected].

13. Governing law

13.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in Franklin County, Ohio have jurisdiction, subject to any consumer right to bring proceedings in the consumer’s home forum where the law provides.
